      Pros

      Good benefits package. Very safety oriented.

      Cons

      Not a lot of time for family as they want you to be there 10 hours a day seven days a week unless you are a supervisor.They come in when they are ready. There is way too much favoritism among the supervisors. If you are in their click you can get by with anything but if you aren't in their click Watch your back.

      An OK Work Environment

      Pros

      A variety of projects to work on in an environment with a lot of social events and many nice people. Lots of offices to work out of so finding one close to where you live shouldn't be a problem for many. Stock does fairly well.

      Cons

      Stantec is a very unstable work environment. Full time and contract people will get laid off or have their contracts abruptly ended if work load drops. Although there are many nice people there, there are also many people there that are just miserable all the time. A lot of "managers" have no management or interpersonal skills. It is very difficult to satisfy project managers and regional managers. PMs just want their work back immediately and with the least amount of charges. Regional leaders just want you to be 100 billable. GIS Team Leads are completely incompetent and require training for people skills.
