Awesome Managers and Great Coworkers, Beware of Copy and Print

Pros

The managers were super helpful, very social, and never intimidating. I'm still good friends with my old manager. You will be challenged, which is a good thing.

Cons

The Copy and Print department is beyond hectic, and we were frequently understaffed. No more than 2 people working at a time with print orders and jobs sitting on hold for sometimes days at a time. This is a customer facing role, so expect to get chewed out A LOT. People assume you're a printing wizard, and that you can do anything they want. Lots of unrealistic demands, and sometime managers will make promises you can't deliver, and you take the heat for it from customers. The training process took FOREVER.

Pros

If you're a student, they offer flexible hours and money every semester towards your tuition.

Cons

Lack of management skill, and un-trained "management" in the area. The equipment and especially computer running everything is severely outdated. I started the job because it had a relationship to my field of study (design), but I soon realized I knew more about everything than the people training me. There is no room for improvement on anything because everything is so written in stone in manuals. Even when the customers love you and the work you do for them, if you don't meet your numbers in sales then none of that matters to the company.
