Pros

Constantly sometime to do. This isn't a job for lazy people (who sometimes fill the ranks). If your branch is busy, and most are, then you will be working for your entire shift. If you are like me that is awesome. I get bored easily and this position is not retail. You are making custom orders for people and it requires knowledge of the product and the tools to make it.

Cons

You cant work more than 25 hours and there are no salaried positions until you are hired to GM. In the respect you have to make 2 promotions before that. You get 25 hours as a part time low level associate and then as assistant manager you get 35 hours and then GM is full time.

Pros

Busy atmosphere which makes your work day go quick. Coworkers and managers were fun to work with. Challenging and productive. Gained supervisor and customer service experience.

Cons

Poor pay for the amount of work, training, and knowledge required for Copy Center. I knew most of the machinery and software from college. Everything else I learned from talking with Xerox and the service guys. Most customers were great to work with but a few were just awful (then again it is retail). If machine breaks down or someone calls off, it can quickly turn into a very hectic situation. Hard to keep department staffed.

Cons

Pay, does not pay for years/experience/or what you do for the company. Bringing them from A to B.
