Pros

Good hours for retail, most stores are not open late and not busy on the weekends. One of the few places you can take time off at Christmas although you will work a LOT during September!

Cons

If you have morals and ethics, don't work at Staples. The prevailing philosophy is "It's never good enough" so no matter how hard you work or how well your store is doing they always expect more and most of the managers have to break rules in order to make their numbers. They encourage you to take advantage of vendors and sell warranties that the customers don't need.

Pros

Flexable schedualing is allowed. The bonus around back to school time is pretty nice.

Cons

The managers are not that bright. The amount of unethical things the managers are willing to do to boost up numbers.

Pros

the only real good thing that i can see about working at staples is that you might make some really great friends. your always on the move and talking with people. if you dont want to sit at a desk all day than this may be a good job for you. there is alot of interaction with people.

Cons

moving up is difficult, but most of the people applying here are pretty young if you dont count management. after a while the work gets very repetitious and terribly boring. stocking shelves is not something that you want to do all day everyday. just like anywhere in retail you will find many of the customers become incredibly annoying as they expect you to give them the world.
