Pros

Pension 401k Medical - good benefits

Cons

State Farm has moved too fast on consolidating regional operating centers in an attempt to save money. Unfortunately, this has been at the expense of policy holders. They have lost experienced employees and cannot provide timely service to customers. They have even had to go as far as rehiring employees as temps in original office areas to process a backlog of work. Overtime is mandatory for those that chose to relocate. Way to burn out employees! Employees are no longer valued...Work life issues...sorry can't help you.

Pros

Pay is not bad once you put in some years. They do have tuition reimbursement and will pay for insurance education. Coworkers are great to work with.

Cons

Loads of mandatory overtime that really should not be needed. Corporate is unloading changes that are not well thought out and seems to have no plan with implementations. Communication is really lacking and there is a lot of dishonesty with management. Performance is weighed on a numbers game and quality is completely ignored so you have to answer for other's sloppy work habits when customers call in upset. I find myself apologizing to customers a lot and it wears you down as a person over time. Getting a day off is near impossible unless you plan it out three months ahead of time.
