Pros

Great benefits available, insurance covers a lot, and we get some good discounts (not on insurance). We have a credit union that has great auto rates.

Cons

They're going through IT changes right now so management is being pulled in all sorts of directions. Negatively impacting employees. We don't get paid a fair amount for what's expected, and they keep adding more and more to our job descriptions. They used to be good about working from home, but now it's harder to get an okay, even if you have a good excuse. If you aren't seen then you must not be working - even if you're in the office working from the break room or elsewhere.

Pros

Pay is decent. You have a chance to learn anything you want to advance your career. (Somewhat) Flexible time policies...

Cons

While you learn advancement and or placement is SLOW. This place is better off as a spring board to something better. Until recently the time off policy was great, as of this writing upper management is becoming more stringent with people coming in at the same time to form a more collaborative environment, no more compressed work weeks either. There was a recent reorg that left people in roles they didn't want or had no interest. State Farm places you where they want you to go and you at that point can take it or leave it. Upper management also hates work from home. It's a privilege for the worker who needs it, but a fierce political debate is threatening to take it away.
