Pros

Work From Home (2-3 days per week), ok benefits (get more expensive every year), friendly and helpful co-workers

Cons

SALARY. Stagnant for 4 years! Really? The financial crisis is over. Stop being so stingy with raises and bonuses.

Pros

There weren't really any pros in KC.

Cons

In all honesty, this place was a joke. I took the job as a resume filler as I'm finishing college right now. The recruiter told me the position was for the shift that would work with my school schedule. Come to find out in the interview it was literally the opposite. Fast forward to actually working there. My job was essentially processing trade data in the accounting system. The computer system did not work, ever. IT support would never resolve issues and left things open for longer than a month. I was the only person trained to cover my accounts. The "training manual" for that client was outdated by three years and completely wrong. The people I worked with were extremely negative. Everyone was worried about losing their job. All the time. For as large as this company is, I am honestly amazed they are in business. They cannot function at all. It is good if you need a large corporation on your resume, but then again not so much. The accounting firms I am interviewing with now joked about me being another ex-State Street person.

Pros

There were no good reason to work for State Street. Unable to advance and the culture was very negative. The best thing about states street the company matching contributions to 401k. However, did have a good work life balance with the ability to work from home.

Cons

There were many cons, bad culture, bad pay, limited opportunities available for advancement, managers unconcerned with career mentoring for career advancement, repetitive job.
