Pros

The company is a well known name in fund administration, so having that on your resume is a plus.

Cons

The company is moving jobs offshore to lower cost locations in Asia. To avoid the costs of firing people, they are creating a toxic environment to force people to leave on their own.

Overtime saves the job

Pros

Overtime to compensate for a mediocre salary.

Cons

Over the past year my department has been on a hiring freeze with a real push back on back filling. Last year we were not offered raises or promotions and no discussion regarding that possibility in the future so people have begun jumping ship, but with the lack of replacing it has caused the people still here to be overworked and now more are looking to leave. Management has chosen to remain silent instead of being honest and open about the situation.

Layoffs and more layoffs

Pros

Love my team. Good vacation time. Company match on 401(k) plan.

Cons

Job security for U.S. employment is a 2 out of 10. No management development. No raises. Bonus cut by 80%. Goal is to offshore as many positions as possible. Huge cuts or ends to Workforce and community type programs. Motivation and job satisfaction is very low.
