      Was great, until it wasn't

      Pros

      Co-workers & other people I met. I met a lot of great people & we were treated well for a long time. We stayed, even though the pay wasn't all that great. We stayed because we became family. Having "family" around made the disgusting surroundings a little less disgusting.

      Cons

      Pay is always on the low end no matter what you bring to the table. New management, new systems, new rules. Diversity Equity Inclusion & everything that goes with it was a deal breaker for me. Just not in. I believe ability, performance and merit are more important than being able to pat yourself on the back because you checked off 10 boxes on the diversity checklist for your new hire or promoted individual.

      Wonderful job for hyperactive independent responsible workers.

      Pros

      Being a sharps technician keeps you in shape! Although taking out containers can be boring, each day is a different hospital, so that’s exciting. Stericycle provides you with uniforms/shoes, offers attractive benefits, flexible schedules, and friendly colleagues.

      Cons

      The only downsides to this job is poorly engineered racks, delayed supplies, vehicle wear and tear from long distance commutes, and no room for growth.

      There are no pros to working here.

      Cons

      The management is terrible. There are lots of politics involved within this company. Especially within Shred-It. There is a reason the company has been bought and sold 3 times. No work life balance, terrible training program, and beyond terrible management. Also very toxic work environment with harassment around every corner.
