Pros

Great overall benefits and compensation. Stock option program is one of the best I have seen if you can stick around for the duration.

Cons

The sales practices and leadership in the SQ division have been poor for many years. Lack of accountability, creativity of strategy which leads to recycled teams and turnover. If you dont leave on your own you will soon be pushed out. Leadership is more concerned about managing their own careers rather than leading people.

Pros

The only pro I can think of was how easy it was too get hired. I had no interview, not one question, took a short test and that was it. Training was ok the first 2 days, after that you didn't know what you were doing one break to the next.

Cons

I took this position as a temp solution. By Friday afternoon I walked out. They were totally disorganized, nobody knew what was going on, denied lunches and breaks, talked to horribly, disrespectful, and I would advise everyone to stay away. As a professional in the customer service industry for 15+ years I am seasoned and good at what I do. I had heard great things about the company and thought this would be a way to get a full time permanent position here. By Friday off the first week, I didn't want it anymore. I was given 8 didn't schedule the first 4 days! We were forced on the phones with no quality training, then penalized for asking questions or taking a few moments to note accounts. Then, I was deemed a lunch altogether and told my training class was my lunch and to get back to work. The last time I checked I did not work in a sweat shop I got an hour lunch. Nope, it's free pizza during training so that is your lunch, at least you get paid for it. ( less than half of what I made at my last job). I do not eat junk food at all......pizza really? I have NEVER in my life walked out of a job until now. We were rounded up, herded like cattle, and tossed on a phone. Management talks down to you a dumb because they just hired anybody. Disorganized, clueless, disrespectful, distasteful, company I have ever set foot in.

Pros

Health Insurance is extremely affordable. That's it.

Cons

Stericycle breeds a bourgeois environment where only a few selected people get promoted and get the premium work assignments. Each individual is not treated equally based on what he/she knows. The management does not know how to delegate work equally amongst the workers. Cronyism and favoritism are a contributing factor to the reason of why there is a revolving door amongst the workers who are not respected for what they contribute to the work environment. Stericycle uses threats to their recruiters if they try to get current Stericycle workers other jobs at other places of employment. Stericycle is now threatening their employees if they do not comply with their culture. It sounds like various departments within Stericycle are breeding this bad work environment and it really needs to stop. The company does not have life-work balance. Stericycle exhibits qualities that are not conducive to a good working environment. Anyone considering any employment at Stericycle should re-think their decision. Once you’re in this environment, it is hard to get out of it.
