Thank you for your feedback! Communication between employees and management has been a challenge, but it is one we are meeting head on. Recently, we had an anonymous employee survey that is already responsible for some great changes within the company. For instance, to increase the amount of valuable communication, we have instituted a new, more frequent, employee appraisal process to ensure that all employees are clear about the expectations of their rolls and the impact they have on the company at large. They are also allowed the opportunity to provide feedback to their supervisors during this process. We have also begun a twice monthly newsletter to communicate changes in the industry, policies, and to highlight excellent performance that is sent out to all of our employees which has opened up those communication lines further.

As a Driver Manager, you certainly do learn a lot about this industry! Unfortunately, odd hours do sometimes go hand and hand as many of the products we transport are vital to many communities and are needed even outside the standard work week. Typically, our weekend schedule is done on rotation with one Driver Manager working every third Saturday. I am sorry that Stevens Transport was not a good fit for you.
