Pros

New equipment, once you prove yourself you can make good money

Cons

High office employee turn over. Very few will ever know you by name. Hard at first as you don't know what areas to stay away from.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are so glad to see your positive attitude and your understanding that in any industry, it takes a little bit of time to learn. No matter what industry you ever enter into (from welding, utility services, and carpentry to emergency services) it takes at least 6 months to a year to get in the groove. Million-mile drivers will even tell you that they are still learning! We do provide you with the best, safest, environment to learn in as well, by providing all of our Drivers with Driver Trainers, Training Counselors and Driver Managers as resources to help ensure career success. We are glad to see that you have had a good experience with our Driver Managers. We certainly value them, as they play a key role in the company's and our Driver's success. We have heard that the recent changes in that department has caused some stress, and as a result we have taken steps to ensure more stability. Don’t worry! Many of the recent changes have been due to transfers to other operations departments, or changing fleets and not due to turnover. We are glad that you are enjoying the equipment! We are very proud of our reputations for taking care of our Drivers, and look forward to continuing this journey with you. We wish you the very best, and will see you soon!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! It sounds like your largest frustration was with a coworker and not with the company itself. It is always our goal to hire motivated individuals and to continue to work with the best of the best, and it sounds like we did just that when we hired you! I know it can be hard when you are a top performer to have coworkers whom you do not feel are taking on enough of the workload, and I am sorry that we did not catch your frustrations before you moved on. As far as benefits, our health insurance benefits are competitive in the industry. Unfortunately, health costs have risen in the recent years, but we have taken a lot of avenues to keep our health insurance affordable for all of our employees. It sounds like you had excellent mentors who invested time in your success! We are very glad that you felt you were placed in an environment where you felt you could learn under excellent management on several levels. We are very sorry to have lost such a driven employee, If you have any other feedback please email us at feedback@stevenstransport.com so we can address those issues. We wish you the very best for your future!

I am glad that we agree that the training and safety programs are great here at Stevens! Your analysis of pay, however is not correct. You do start out at .30cpm, however we are long haul and have the most miles per dispatch of any company in the nation. You cannot compare the cpm of a long-haul company to that of one doing LTL. You aren’t comparing apples to apples! You will have less stops and time loading and unloading, and more time making money and driving! It seems like you were a little confused on how your pay worked. We DO NOT cheat our drivers out of miles. We pay shortest distance from point A to point B, which is the same way we are paid by our customers. This is industry standard, and you do not get additional pay for taking longer distance routes. You DO NOT get paid 10cpm for empty miles. We pay empty miles at the same rate we pay loaded miles if we are sending you to pick up another load. We are sorry that Stevens was not a good fit for you, and wish you the best for your future!
