The firm as a whole needs to get with today’s time and stop advertising they care for employees and their work life balance when in reality they want them all in office staring at screen for 8 hours and commuting into the city without either providing paid parking or a livable wage to live near the office

I support attorneys who respect me.

Cons

Unfortunately the firm generally does not want to pay for experience. They have unmanageable attorney/assistant ratio. They now prefer to hire someone with no experience and then pay them very little. The pay increases and bonuses are the same for everyone; There are no merit increases or bonuses for PA. A high performer can expect the same increase and bonus as the lowest performer.

There are some nice, but martyred, co-workers.

Cons

There are several attorneys in the firm I'd never work for but they stay, tormenting their practice assistants while not having their behavior corrected by management because of the money those attorneys bring in. Management is also unbelievably bad in communicating with staff, leaving staff dangling and uninformed.
