Pros

The only positive comment I have about SRI is that the paychecks did not bounce. Other than that, there are NO Pros!

Cons

Without a doubt, this is the most unorganized, most unprofessional company I have ever been associated with. I've worked with some great organizations as a contractor for the DOD and in the private sector, but this is NOT one of them. At first, corporate management seemed pleasant and nice at the "Meet and Greet" however it all went downhill from there. Worked for the company for 3 days under new contract before receiving an Employee ID # or access to the joke of Employee Portal. Every company I've worked for since being a contract worker with the DOD (Ciber, General Dynamics-IT, Remtech for the past 11 years) made each transition pleasant. No negotiations were needed b/c you got at least what you had or more monetary and in benefits. With this outfit I went negative in salary, vac time, sick leave NO 401K (now that I've turned in my notice they inform me and others they do offer 401K,, never mentioned it before after numerous times of asking) and from my understanding the insurance is basically Obamacare (I receive insurance from my spouse). Good luck getting a response in a timely manor from your POC at corporate office,, which they "highly regard themselves on communication". What a joke. This place will promise you the world and you get NOTHING in return, but excuses. To all the NECs, DOIMS or any DOD installations that see a proposal from SRI,,, THROW IT IN THE TRASH IMMEDIATELY!! Out of a bid of a 52 person staff (SRI inherited 48) our contract currently employees roughly 40 persons. Three individuals have been terminated and 15 have resigned. All this in 13 months. That's right,, 1.5 people leave this place a month!! So for the Directors that like their current staff, do not select SRI. It will be the death of a good work environment.

Strategic Resources, Inc. (SRI) has been recognized for its ability to transition new contracts within one day with total success. We transitioned a contract with over 160 employees in four days, one of which was on the fourth of July, with 100% accuracy and continuity of critical services such as mobilizing troops, while receiving commendations from an installation General on our success. To date, we continue to receive outstanding monthly evaluations from our customers. Unfortunately, contract transitions may be challenging to employees. We value our employees and take great steps to insure each employee is embraced. However, a number of items may impact a contract transition which is beyond SRI's control such as, a contract protested, the Federal Government making significant changes during the transition, a government reduction in contract costs, etc. At SRI, we work diligently to address and anticipate problems and the ones we cannot anticipate, we resolve immediately. Federal budget cuts and contract redesign create new contracts, with new values which maybe significantly different from previous work. As our government reduces its budget, so many contractors are charged with carrying out these new requirements. At SRI, we absorb these costs whenever possible to provide continuity of operation and employee morale. Your feedback on this matter is important to us, please send your concerns to SRICares@sri-hq.com

Strategic Resources, Inc. (SRI) appreciates your feedback. In our 27 years of business, we have gone to great lengths to make sure our employees feel valued and appreciated, as they are. SRI was founded on the basis of providing an employee-friendly work environment that focused on and responded to employee needs. Our benefits are competitive with the marketplace as confirmed with our annual compensation survey to ensure the best options are available to our employees. In fact, employee total compensation, to include incentives, bonuses, etc., is greater than the market average. Apart of caring for our employees and ensuring their total success and growth, is to provide hands-on interaction, training and development for all new hires, upon employment and throughout, if needed. Unfortunately, this may have been misconstrued as micro-management. At SRI, we are one Team with one focus--to help each other succeed, in our career, personal and professional skill growth and financial rewards. Work/family balance is important and it is incumbent upon each employee to manage his/her duties, accordingly; and, if there are concerns, we invite employees to reach out to Human Resources and/or their manager or SRICares@sri-hq.com. Thank you and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
