The working environment is sub-par and there is a critical lack of support for employees. Financial cut backs and lack of funding have made the after school "Phoenix program" unable to function according to appropriate standards. The building is in poor condition, supplies are low to minimal and clients are allowed to be aggressive because there are not enough staff to maintain control and little disciplinary action that can be taken. When paper work has gotten behind employees have been asked to write progress notes and medicaid paperwork for clients that they did not work with weeks or even months earlier. I would never recommend anyone to work here or send their children her. Due to the environment the children most often become worse rather than better. I would never send my children to a place like this and I think that my associates would agree that this is a terrible place to work.
