Pros

Stryker has great benefits and stability, great place to learn a lot and get exposed to many different things.

Cons

to make it, you have to be a white male, that plays golf. It's got nothing to do with performance, even though that is widely touted. top level people are motivated by stock options, which is managed like a secret society, and then used like hush money.

Pros

This is a very fast growing company. If you are looking for a place that can offer very fast career advancement this Stryker is just the place. Many of the managers are young and not much into their early 30's. 20% growth every year will create opportunities. Couple that with the fact that the company makes some of the best medical products out there and there is a lot of pride that comes with the employee badge.

Cons

This is a demanding company. You can actually look at that as a downside or an upside depending on your perspective but just be aware that the expectations are going to be set very high and that you will be expected to find your own way in most circumstances. Nobody will hold your hand. Mentoring is not a priority at this company.

Pros

Makes great products. If you are lucky enough to move into the right position, you can make a lot of money. Great benefits. Overall, a very competitive, fast growing company with a good future outlook.

Cons

Getting time off is very difficult. Promotions are often given without regard to qualifications, passing up tenured employees with experience, for newer employees who fit the "good ole' boy" culture. Each division of Stryker is almost like dealing with a completely different company within a company. You will work long, hard hours if you are in the field doing sales, technical support, installations, marketing, etc...
