Pros

The pay is OK. There are some good people employed here. Decent benefits. 401k. Pto Vacation after 1 yr Yearly raises for the first 5 yrs.

Cons

Poor management. No work, home balance, they expect you to live at work. The 401k is forced, you can not decline it. Best believe, this company doesn't care about employees. No communication from the top down. Something will change and you won't be notified til you've done it the previous way and get in trouble. Point system is horrendous, it takes 2 months perfect attendance to get 1 point back. Pto is hard to use. Gets denied often. Even with plenty of notice.

A lot of untapped potential

Pros

Family owned, access to upper management, fiscally strong. Opportunities to learn many aspects of manufacturing.

Cons

While the company has a diverse book of business, individual locations are primarily producing for one or two customers. This means if a specific customer or plant is down or on strike, the plant is forced into layoffs and downtime. There’s a vibe that the company hasn’t progressed much since the early 90s in many facets-systems are outdated, policies and benefits are outdated and there’s a boys club feeling to the place (imagine mad men). Desperation keeps management from getting rid of employees who need to go. Corporate/upper level approvals and red tape make quick decision making hard at a plant level.
