Cons
Employees are not always aware of the professional development opportunities. Some managers do not make it a point to encourage employees to discuss their career goals, with the assumption that the employees will be the ones to broach the topic. This leaves the more reserved less aggressive employee feeling as of there is no room for growth, feeling unappreciated and stuck in their role.
