Pros

No oversight, supervisors don't seem to care whether employees perform their duties or not. They often expect you to do theirs as well.

Cons

"My time at Sun Communities was marred by high management turnover, forcing me to fill leadership voids. Despite stepping up, I was overlooked for job positions. Complaints to HR and RVP were ignored. The lack of on-the-ground support and absence of loyalty rewards made it a disheartening experience. Notably, when raising concerns about employees bullying, harassing coworkers, and neglecting job duties, the company's response was nonexistent—leaving a toxic environment unchecked. The addition of a new manager, lacking company and customer service experience, proved to be a disastrous decision. Her unprofessional behavior, including yelling, disparaging remarks about residents and employees, and even making sexually harassing comments to staff, exacerbated the toxic environment. A regrettable chapter in my professional journey. I could no longer in conscience continue to work for Sun Communities.

Poor upper management

Pros

Some but all come at a cost

Cons

Micro management, every regional manager has different rules and corporate has to many grey areas. Human resources is only there for the company, they only care about the money. Budgets do not match goals. Signed a commission agreement only for the new regional to say it doesn't matter you can not earn the. If you question the men that run the company they find a way to say you have a performance issue. Its started out great until they switched regional manager. Its not the staff at the property sometimes its the upper management they have in place.
