Too big to act so small

Pros

Very open to remote work. Great products on offer (but the same as the competition - still, important products) Colleagues who are truly willing to help. Smooth transitions. Canadians are nice.

Cons

Poor management practices take a back seat to institutional knowledge, which is why leaders with tenure stay regardless of lack of skills. Managers who lead well make their own investment and commitment to leadership excellence, resulting in spotty experiences. Refuse to spend money on professional development or software to increase efficiencies. Prioritization of work non-existent, leading to reactive chaos.

Pros

The only pro was having some really incredible co workers and one great supervisor.

Cons

they pretend to care about their employees but all they care about is bragging about diversity. There are a few good managers but overall terrible leadership, low pay, meh benefits, high stress, high turnover, and a very toxic work environment. My department was barely ever (maybe 3 months over 2+ years) fully staffed to meet the workload and demand. Your manager or team lead will tell you it’s your fault and reluctantly ask “how can I help?” without ever really helping. Absolutely the worst job experience I have ever had.

Low pay, high stress

Pros

Sabbatical, even though you have to use your PTO to take it. Bonus, but based on your performance and the company’s performance.

Cons

All they care about is quantity and I’ve seen an enormous decrease in the quality of our deliverables. If you can do your job quickly, that is all they care about. Management pretends to care and tells you to be patient but nothing is ever really done, including hiring ENOUGH people to actually meet the demands. The pay is very low for the pressure, stress, and constant changes and yet, if you complain about any of the above, you are seen as a problem, unadaptable, and ungrateful. They do performance based annual reviews and really it’s just a way for them to justify not giving cost of living raises. Management and upper management plays favorites and everyone knows who the favorites are and aren’t. The DEI training is a joke so they can tell everyone they are a woke company. Certain employees are extremely unprofessional yet keep getting opportunities and promotions. Extremely toxic work environment.
