Pros

good company, strong fundamentals, good culture and lots of opportunity. If you are ambitious it will be recoanized and usually quickly.

Cons

There really are none, except it can feel like you are removed from managment...especially upper management at times. The computer systems are old...very old. Branch Managers do exactly what they are told and there is little room to inovation or thinking outside the box. it's kind of a do what you are told culture. if you are a few mintues late to work, you will get writen up and someone will read the company policy on being late. you get treated like a child and that's becuase most assistant managers are only doing thier job because they are waiting to get promoted to another department outside of retail.

Pros

Working hours...most people leave by 4:30. Flex time and telecommuting is also a nice option in my department. We also have a generous vacation policy and the 401k match and pension is nice.

Cons

The culture is very "old school and politically correct." Some employees look down on others and think they are smarter than others. I have ran into several unfriendly, anti social people who try to keep information from others when it would be easier to share information and work as a team. The pay is also not the greatest....not horrible, but definitely not at the top of the range. The sick leave policy is also terrible...you only get 5 sick days then you have to go on disability...ridiculous!

Pros

Compensation and benefits are good

Cons

Watch out at corporate: some groups are snake pits of backstabbing politicians and former consultants. No IT investment
