      Pros

      You will meet some of the hardest workers out there. If you are fortunate to find a professional team and development oriented manager, SunTrust can be a great place to work.

      Cons

      Most managers are self serving. Too many clicks and political minefields which impact relationships and success. Management struggles with minority groups and go seemingly unchecked for discriminatory actions. HR is management protection service and the employee is left to defend for themselves. Conform and do as they say and how they say or you will be pushed out, and in some cases flat out let go.

      Pros

      Decent benefits. Community Service culture. Decent wages once hired.

      Cons

      SALES. SALES. SALES. Tellers bring in a LOT of business to branch banking and on't get compensated properly, or recognized. Branch managers come across as money hungry. Company is definitely cut-throat in terms of performance. Not a lot of sales training, so if you aren't naturally good at sales, you won't last a full quarter. Raises and promotions are extremely minimal, if at all.

      Good location Nice people Salary within market ranges

      Cons

      Very hierarchal, would spend months working on a project and then would never hear about it again and it would never roll out, lots of wasted effort, lacks diversity, lacks solid direction
