Pros

I can only speak for the nursing division, as that is the only division that I ever worked in. The company offers exceptional support and tools to be successful. The credentialing, sales support, housing and manager are all there to help and go above and beyond to make your job easier. There is great opportunity in the industry and if you are a good recruiter you will have every chance to succeed. The base pay in competitive and there are commissions on top of that. Everybody in the nursing department gets along very well with each other and is very helpful to new hires who are looking for advice. New hire training is rather extensive and gives new employee a good chance to learn the industry. All-around fun atmosphere.

Cons

It takes a little while to get up to speed and to start earning good commissions. It is not a job that you will jump into and start seeing huge success in the first 1-6 months. You will get some hires, but things really don't start clicking until you have a couple months of experience. Your first 6 months you will likely not make huge commissions but if you are doing well then the success isn't far behind.

Pros

Excellent work environment. Very supportive. Extremely fun and team oriented. You can tell the management puts significant effort to make things as exciting as possible. Contests, work meetings with games, etc. This company really has a great work environment. Kim is the schools division manager - she is an excellent resource. I've sat in her office on several occasions and she helped direct me and give me advice when I was confused. Kelly has since been promoted as a team manager. The company is growing leaps and bounds as far as I can see. Gobbling up the large majority of the marketshare. An excellent culture that gives you daily call 'goals' but isn't strict in the least about imposing them if you don't reach them one day or another.

Cons

You have to pay for your own benefits. Company split the business, so if you must 'flip' off future commissions from half the job orders you get from clients. However, the person who you passed the job order to must 'flip' you another one. The goal is to make each recruiter hold a specific 'specialty' - i.e. special education teachers are pupil services and SLPs are managed by the therapy services division. The sister companies of Sunbelt Staffing have direct access to your leads candidates and clients. Though they cannot see that you talked to them, they see when you entered the name into the central database. Also, the company charges schools a hefty price for our services. I think this will make it more difficult as more and more school staffing companies come up(I have no doubt that they will change this - but I think it will be a reactive change and not a proactive change). It's a cube job.

Pros

I've been with Sunbelt Staffing for over 10 years and have seen it change and grow into the company it is today. Sunbelt is part of a larger corporation that makes available its resources. Those resources help to deliver a strong market presence within the industry as well as competitive base salaries and commission and benefit plans. There is a strong focus on teamwork which is supported by longer-term employees mentor newer ones. Sunbelt is also dedicated to giving back to the community through Sunbelt Cares.

Cons

If your goal is to move up the corporate ladder, know that there are very limited opportunities to move up within Sunbelt. However, being part of a larger corporation affords many opportunities but most will require relocation.
