Working with the Residents is definitely the best part of the job. The Residents are the ones that make it a place worth showing up to work for.

Cons

There's alot of responsibility and alot of work being thrown at the Care Managers, but the pay does not reflect. The pay is at least $5 off mark.. There's also some favoritism going on and it needs to be stopped. There are some hard working people and there are some others that skate by and management let's it happen. Get rid of the bad seeds, concentrate on the hardworkers and pay whats deserved. As far as advancing in Sunrise, there are no real advancement opportunities.

I stayed for a long time because of my residents. Most of the caregivers were truly concerned and respectful of the residents. Most of the staff were compassionate about the work they did for these people.

Cons

I wasted 10 years of my life over blantant favoritism. I and several of my co-workers busted our rears here, just to be overworked and unappreciated. This company only cares about filling rooms and making money. In the meantime, administrator cut corners as much as possible because they got to keep whatever wasnt spent in their budgets at the end of the year. They got rid of holiday bonuses and parties for the staff. several employees there were given special treatment from the higher ups because they were brown nosers. And unfortunetly really didnt know what they were doing. I truly feel bad for the residents and the employees who still work there.

Job satisfaction from being able to help families solve difficult problems. Solid training programs. Invested in solid yet complex CRM system.

Cons

Top heavy management with greed mentality. Great intentions were not executed consistently. Heavy turnover among sales and management positions. Inadequate/makeshift work spaces.
