Pros

- 2 Billion plus company. - Steady Growth - Company has been in existence for more than 22 years without layoffs. - If you want a job with decent pay without worries of keeping the job this one is for you. - If you are Asian this really the company for you. Especially Chinese no matter how good or bad an employee you are, provided you are not doing anything illegal or double dipping your job is safe. - Free Light Breakfast (Oatmeal, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Bread, Chinese Pastries. Thats it!) - Free Dinner but must stay after 7 or taking Free Dinner will be frowned upon. (Includes, Pizza, Salad, Vegetarian Dish, Meat Dish, and Fish Dish that change every week) - Random holiday bonuses can be extraordinary but only luck can get you one and there are only a few. - Could be great opportunity for sales that know what they are doing. The sky is the limit. - Possible access to CEO allows face to face time. Rare for a company this size. - The company has a remarkable story providing opportunity to some making them very rich who probably would not have had the opportunity otherwise. - Despite outward criticism, In the end the company favors it's Taiwanese employees over the rest. Rewards, with highest promotions, raises and public recognition.

Cons

- Run like Mom and Pop business even though it is a public company. - Very Taiwanese, which might be okay except the fact US company perception is extremely pushed - Training in some aspects is very poor. - CEO is too hands on. Must approve nearly everything personally. Makes for slow moving process. - CEO face to face time is possible but mostly used for him to talk and you to listen. Slow to embrace new ideas. Often have to expend money, time and effort to show management things won't work. Rather than rely on knowledge of experienced team members. - CEO ties up too much time. No appointments. All first come first serve. Even CFO must wait in line or lose his spot. - Needs a lot of training in "Team" concept. Spend lots of time blaming each other like children. - If you are Taiwanese you receive extra pressure, are exposed to more criticism than Native English Speaking US Born Americans. - People with no experience called on to do task even when it's repeatedly poor, when they are Taiwanese. If you are not Taiwanese you can make a mistake once and have the responsibility taken away without notice. - Appears to be lots of cover ups - US English Speaking Native Born Americans are respected but if you don't come into the company with a high title it is slow if not impossible to be promoted. You will likely be passed up for a Taiwanese or Asian coworker who has less skill and experience. - Noticed few other than White or Asian and that none (Considering India as part of Asia) or high ranking roles although some have been at the company for 10, to 20 years. - Even though work life balance is improving you feel like you're losing ground if you leave before 8pm. - Seemingly unusually high deaths. 6 Total in the last 10 years. 4 due to health issues. - Pay is not great if you are not a Sr. Manager or higher. - Bullying has been experienced with no real action taken. Acceptable by pet employees. - Despite outward criticism, In the end the company favors its' Taiwanese employees over the rest. Rewards, them with highest promotions, raises and public recognition. This can become frustrating to those outside of this circle. .

Pros

I work for Super Micro as an Inside Sales. Form the beginning, I had a very smooth interview process, and I was well-respected by management team. After I came on board, I had good training experiences. Also, management and staff are very professional and helpful. I have had a good experience working for Super Micro. More importantly, Super Micro offers great benefits including health, dental, and vision plans as well as 401K program and many other plans. This company is growing rapidly, and I believe it is a great place for employees to learn, grow and develop.

Cons

In this business you might be overwhelmed with the workload. However, this is not always the case. If you get things done in time, you can manage your workload effectively.
