Culture Turmoil

Pros

Being apart of an in-house marketing and creative team was fun in many ways. I learned a lot while working here.

Cons

“Culture” is something that is discussed often at a company level—the importance of having a good culture. But their methods of assessment aid (and often inflate those is positions of power) while leaving those not in power feeling unheard, unsafe, and unprotected when serious culture concerns surface.

Thank you for being part of our team and for taking the time to share your feedback! We truly appreciate your perspective about your experience at Supportworks, specifically about opportunities for employees to provide feedback about their managers. At Supportworks we strive for a culture where honest and respectful feedback is encouraged and fostered. Employees have multiple ways to share their thoughts in formats that are seen by our leadership team. These include individual performance reviews throughout the year, and 1-2 voluntary (third-party administered) surveys that give our team members a platform to voice their experiences and concerns on key topics, including managerial and leadership support. In addition to those surveys, we conduct an internal culture audit every other year where employees are asked for feedback on anything from effectiveness of company communication to how their manager is supporting them. This audit is NOT anonymous and allows our leadership team to follow up (if needed) to better understand issues and to take action that actually solves them. When managerial feedback comes up, it is addressed directly with their manager to ensure our team members receive the support they deserve. While peer reviews are part of our evaluation process, formal employee reviews of managers are not yet a common practice. We appreciate your perspective and will take it into consideration as we continue to refine our feedback process. Thank you again for you input and contributions you made during your time at Supportworks. We wish you the best in your journey ahead! - Human Resources
