Pros

Receiving some benefits is a pro...but really not worth all the cons.

Cons

Everything. Mostly the CEO of the company though. He is the most elitist, hot headed, bully that I have ever met. He is known to bully employees, especially women. He will fire people for no reason at all and come up with lame reasons why when questioned. If you take a job with Surya, you need to know it will be very short lived. Either you will be fired for no reason or you will come to your wits and realize you need to get out fast! When I took this job, my customers told me themselves "Good luck!! The turn over is unreal." And they weren't kidding. If you make it to a year, that is considered a long time at Surya. Surya doesn't believe in rewarding employees for hard and good work, let alone even acknowledging it, but they are excellent at blaming and pointing fingers over minuscule problems. They never LISTEN to anyone besides themselves. If they would listen more to their employees who are working to build the company and take their advice on where things could be improved, the company would grow and everyone would actually like to work for the company. Most people are simply clocking in to get a paycheck and that is all because it is a horrible environment. Even when you're a remote sales rep, it is horrid. Managers do not know how to manage. They are of no help what so ever when there is a problem. The whole company is a joke and a facade pretending to be a quality company with quality product. It blows my mind they're in business. BEWARE!

I loved my job when I first started...

Pros

The product is beautiful I learned a lot about how to deal with difficult, mercurial personalities which is good experience to have One of the best group of coworkers I've ever had the pleasure of working beside (which is the probably the only reason anyone stays longer than a few months -- you bond with your coworkers so strongly in those adverse conditions...you work so many hours, under so much stress, you spend so much time together, you become a family of sorts).

Cons

Mostly the same as everyone else -- long hours, pay not commensurate, capricious management, untruthful management. There is no balance. You will give everything you have and it will never be enough because management does not have a clear and structured vision. The business is conducted way too personally. Use the position to learn what you need to learn, to build your resume. The moment you stop developing as a professional, go, because all the negatives are only going to grind you down from there. When I left, I was physically ill, mentally exhausted, and depressed. Took a year to fully get back to being myself.
