Pros

If you like confusion and billing this is it!

Cons

Stressful, unorganized, just overall frustrating. Too many systems for too little pay.

Pros

They are almost always hiring They have benefits and if you leave and come back on a different program months later you can keep your tenure Flexible Hours Lots of chances for advancement- but many do not include any extra money

Cons

The pay is below industry standard on EVERY Program- specifically for Managers Ghetto Environment The company is cheap- not only with pay but they don't even have free coffee like every other call center on the planet Most of the managers (male and female) date and have sex with the employees Many of the agents sleep together and with the managers and bring their drama to work Their HR Department is 3 people for thousands of employees Good Luck finding a parking space when the programs are full Building security is a joke- no one badges in A very unprofessional environment. Dress code is non-existent, you will routinely see women dressed like they are going to clubs in short tight mini skirts, see through clothes, leggings, 5 inch heels, low cut skin tight dresses- and no one says anything. The Fraternization policy is a joke almost all of The Managers and Senior Managers sleep with the agents and other managers on a regular basis- much of this is done in the office building and multiple times I've heard that people are having oral sex in empty offices or in the parking lot in broad day light! They do offer benefits but the Health Insurance is so expensive it would take half of your paycheck. A few months ago multiple employees stole client information and opened credit card and other accounts which risked all of our jobs. They hire a lot of uneducated welfare queens who don't want to work. They don't care about missing work because they don't really need the money they are already on housing, food stamps, etc so they come and go as they please leaving more work for those of us who do show up and do need our jobs. When they do come to work they spend their time walking around on break or e-mailing gossip to each other instead of working. The company re-hires people even if they are fired for work place violence. They just fire them and tell them they can reapply in six months- most companies have zero tolerance for this and will never allow you to work again but Sutherland does not care. The Deli in the building gets hacked all the time and employee accounts are drained for hundreds of dollars.Your job title and duties can change almost daily depending on which program you work on so there is no stability. Sales Program employees routinely complain that their commissions are not paid out and that their checks are short.

Pros

Work from home. Positive reviews are fabricated accounts to give this employer better rating then what is accurate.

Cons

No matching 401k. Sutherland places you in a 401k program automatically without informing you automatically signed up. You work holidays with straight pay. No double or time and half pay with some crappy floating holiday you can use to celebrate the holiday by yourself. No clue how sick days work and I've been with the company 2 years. You can't access the online employee handbook because the user permissions block access to it. Tools are unstable. They will drop you to 35 hours a week with a day's notice. Schedule changes and every schedule worse than the last schedule 9 bucks an hour for 35 hours a week with no match in 401k, work holidays (straight pay)and work weekends - seem worth it to you? Supposed to get 1 year Xbox live gold subscription every year. That's not happening. Training - your trained by an emotional women who doesn't even own an Xbox who yells and threatenens employees during the whole training process. Was told I won 5000 points I could use for a gift during training which I never received and emails are ignored. Supervisors and team coaches ignore emails and don't respond. If you work in the United States and wonder how employees from India or the Philippines are treated as employees this job will provide that insight. This job you feel like your in a third world country. Having team coaches talk to you like you never had a job before - great time. Talking to the dumbest brain dead customers who can't even shut up long enough for you to help troubleshoot.
