Pros

They started out great, until they started expanding at a ridiculous rate.

Cons

I started at Sutter when it was only the Murray location and as it started to expand it went downhill. The more they grew, the less the cared for their employees. Quality went downhill when serving the patients due to their constant changes and demands. I get there are going to be changes, but when you're constantly being told to make several changes in a week and then expected to maintain your scores so you can get your bonuses, it was ridiculous. Employee morale went downhill and upper management was a joke. No connection with employees whatsoever. After 5 years with this company, I was happy to say goodbye.

Pros

Easy interview and clean place to work and friendly people

Cons

Just a number, was hired for a specific job and then they cancelled that area and moved me into another random position.

Pros

Absolutely none, no sense of jobs security.

Cons

This laboratory is managed very poorly by people that completely lack professionalism, ethics, and honesty. Union has been petitioned twice under the same management team. They hold meetings and promise to listen and engage, but once the union threat is over everything goes back to the same or worse. If you are in the management team, you can get away with pretty much anything. examples: If you’re in a position of powers you can sexually harass females and still have your job with a simple slap on the wrist. Management harasses employeeson a daily basis, make up stories to get them in trouble with no evidence and they get supported by Human Resources. Human Resources is there for management AND all that "he said she said", and "gossip" what a joke! One Management member you cant understand anything he says. He will tell you what to do, and that is what IT is. He will always be right, do not give any suggestions his are always the best, he will not let you talk, he will argue with you if you disagree on anything. Another management member hates people, hates her job, will run specimens even if its the wrong media or past stability, just to pocket the money and not fight with any doctors or affiliates. Bad business. more concerned with "controlling" employees than standing for Sutter's values or quality. Another management memeber a complete is ignorant and I don’t know for life of me how she got the leadership position with a GED and no professional medical license, not even a phlebotomy license. Makes me wonder why the shared lab is always in trouble with government agencies and most of other Sutter affiliates. This place is mainly women. They hire a few men here and there. I guess they figure its easier to "control" women versus men. There are cameras in every department, and not just ONE, two , three, four, they want EVERY angle of you, its not like you're handling money. They are even in the break rooms. The truth is they are trying to "control" as the Micro manager says, another Union scare. This is against the law. Employees are terrified and terrorized by management and HR on a daily bases to keep their mouths shut, not so does why they’re told even if it’s against healthcare laws rules and regulations. They don't want you to leave your department, and are constantly enforcing no cell phones. They have a point, but this is again to control you ....This is because they don't want the Union to come back, they figure Cameras and creating a hostile work environment should do it. Don't communicate with no one. no phones, and even monitor the break room. Sutter Share Lab is under investigation by Center of Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS), College of American pathologists (CAP), and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) currently. The reason......, management needs to go. Bad business, they are more busy attacking their own employees than addressing real issues with QC, patients samples and so forth, The executive director is aware, but she is no help, she also supports management, she is biased. WHAT A SHAME of management team!! so pitiful.
