      Pros

      Salary and benefits are good.

      Cons

      Employee morale is at an all time low and there is no strategic direction. This used to be a great place to work.

      Pros

      Great - well, decent health insurance. Costs have ramped up moderately in the past 5 years. Non-represented IT environment creates a great sense of motivation and increased team morale in general.

      Cons

      Laughable amount of reorganization within the IT Service lines over the past 5 years. Countless positions eliminated and redistributed to other, already top heavy groups, or absorbed by remaining individual contributors who are already overworked. It appears IT Leadership makes their decisions through the use of a Ouija board. Those who need to be eliminated remain and others who have potential are dismissed. HR department is weak and will enable low performers to the point of almost rewarding them for bad behavior (read: no accountability).

      Working with very lazy people in my clinic. Sutter Health itself is amazing. Working for a supervisor who knows about Healthcare is difficult also. EOW surveys for the small clinics need to be looked at more carefully because clearly the supervisor is the issue not the staff. Also the staffing with on calls is horrible they receive amazing schedules and can be late everyday , but if a full time employee is late we lose our heads by our supervisor.
