Pros

It isn’t a bad job if you love sales and customer service.

Cons

Management literally sucks. They don’t train employees well and then expect them to make miracles happen.

From your review it seems you did not feel valued by management and for this we are sorry, that you had a negative experience. As we are not sure what location you worked at, it is not easy to address these concerns. At Swarovski we strive to create a positive work environment in each of our stores and corporate offices, to achieve this we have and open-door policy and a hotline to allow employees to share their concerns and ensure we address our employees concerns once reported in a timely matter. - Team work - Nice (in store) culture - Prestige and name - On boarding and the retail academy - Training training and training - Career opportunities

Cons

- If you hace the bad luck of having a bad area manager that allies to bad store managers, your career is over. - the anual evaluations are pretty subjectives. It’s all about your Manager feeling and not over your personal results. - low salaries

Of course, we are thrilled to read your list of Pros: “Team work”, “retail academy” “Training training and training” and “Career opportunities”, we would also like to thank you for your 5 years of service. Please note here at Swarovski we believe in investing in our people and we are especially proud of the investment that we make in our training programs, providing our employees with the training they need to succeed and get to the next level with Swarovski and in their future endeavors. As for your Cons: “bad area manager”, “annual evaluations are pretty subjective” and “low salaries”, we are sorry you felt that your manager was not supportive and that you were not happy with the compensation. We strive to remain competitive in our compensation practices and regularly review our pay rates and bonus structure in all markets and will share your concerns with our compensation team. As for your concern about the “annual evaluations” and “bad area manager”, here at Swarovski we have an open-door policy and encourage our employees to reach out to a member of upper management or HR to make sure their concerns and ideas for the betterment of the company are addressed and handled strategically and effectively in a timely matter, as only with constructive feedback from our current and former employees as well as our customers can we improve and remain relevant in today’s everchanging world. Please be assured if management and HR are aware of any concerns, we investigate these concerns to ensure we are treating all employees fairly. Of course, we are thrilled when we get positive feedback and are glad that you list “Good Benefits” and the employee discount as Pros in your review. We are however sorry to read that you list as a Con “No Respect from the Company cooperate”. Please note we take feedback from former and current employees seriously and will be sharing your feedback with upper management. In addition this year we have already implemented many changes to improve our communication with the stores, thru enhancements to Coco – our retail communication program, employee townhalls, the role out in our retail stores of GROM (Global Retail Operation Model) to ensure we are providing a standardization of how we communicate and run our stores. As many of these changes come from feedback on store visits, we will also continue to seek feedback from our sales consultants and store management during store visits.
