Pros

-Fantastic colleagues and many specialities -My director encourages work/life balance

Cons

-Horrible pay (20% less than Virginia Mason for same exact specialty and role) -Insulting pay “raises” every 4-5 years. Per my contract, I will get a 2.2% raise 4 years from now!! Nothing until then. -Management is incredibly short sighted and doesn’t give a crap about employees. They’d apparently rather pay travelers than increase pay or offer retention bonuses.

Pros

Working with a supportive team is invaluable.

Cons

We are pulled more and more into the “doing more with less” mentality in healthcare. Most feedback geared toward how to save $$ for the healthcare system.
