      Fabulous caring coworkers. Positive work environment.

      Cons

      Schedule published only 4 weeks in advance. Difficult to trade shifts. Lots of technician sick calls daily. Management is kind but does not seem to involve staff in decision making.

      Politics in the ER are pretty out there. I've been here a while and been under the radar. I have seen a lot of things happen that are way out there and as far as being fair and imparital? It depends on who you are friends with. If you ask for the same opportunities there is a clear bias and special treatment for some people. The one regret looming over my head is that I have not stood up for certain coworkers when I have seen things that are wrong. In order to stay above water you have to watch things happen otherwise you will be on the chopping block. Talking to leadership is on their time and you have to be grateful that they take the time to grace you with their presence. The ER is run by a group of popluar cliques and if you are not part of that clique you are on the outside and then you are isolated. Being isolated by a clique is not fun at all but it happens. I have seen it reported and not taken serious and laughed at by leadership.
