Pros

Large hospital so they have a lot of resources and opportunities for growth. Nursing staff are unionized which helps with staffing and making sure we have benefits.

Cons

It's the only hospital I've worked at but I hear there's not a lot of autonomy compared to other hospitals. Also we are working without a contract at present. This is the first time the union has bargained since Providence took over Swedish--so far our benefits aren't what they used to be but we are all fighting to change that!
