Pros

1) Leadership cares: Our senior management makes employee happiness and work/life balance a priority. We use Tiny Pulse to collect anonymous feedback from all employees multiple times a quarter and new initiatives are developed based on direct concerns. We also have great benefits and HR works hard to continuously improve them. 2) Career growth - There's always new opportunities to step up and try something different at SweetLabs which has been great for building my resume and getting exposure to lots of potential career paths. It's a great place to be for a new professional! 3) Awesome spaces: Our offices are fun, whether you've got your head down working hard or are taking a board game break on Fridays : ) The spaces have a cool, geek-chic flair thanks to our in-house design team. The open environment makes it easy to collaborate and also make the whole office feel like a community; you see and joke around with everyone (including executives) daily.

Cons

The environment here is very fast-paced and no one holds your hand. That's great because you work on a ton of different things, never get bored, and assume a lot of responsibility; however, you need to be proactive and tenacious or you'll fall behind. It can also mean that the direct work at hand can take priority over other things like training that would benefit us in the long run.

Pros

Great management, one of the best fast growing, mid-size tech companies to work for in San Diego. They take culture seriously, have a management team that is accessible and have worked together for a very long time and they get along well. Employees get along very well. Got a lot of things done while still having work, life balance and having fun.

Cons

Being primarily desktop focused software has challenges given the growth of mobile. Still there are a lot of opportunities related to the desktop and they are going after them well.

Fun and innovative startup culture

Pros

Working at SweetLabs has been amazing! It's definitely the top startup in SD. The culture is fun and innovative and everyone loves to have a good time. The office is located right at the heart of downtown and has a fully stocked kitchen with healthy organic food. The casual dress code is great and they even offer in-office yoga. The company is growing quickly and it's exciting to work with such a driven team.

Cons

It might be a bit too much fun sometimes...
