Pros

I love the energy at Sweetwater. I hear guests comment all the time that "everyone seems so happy to be here!" Sweetwater expects us to care about what we do and who our customer is. This expectation is for all of us, whether we are working in a Sales position, Distribution, Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Maintenance, Security, or Guest Services. I love that I am encouraged and empowered to go the extra mile for my coworkers and our customers. WOWing the customer and making a Sweetwater difference is not just a directive from the upper management team. They lead by example! The perks at Sweetwater are amazing. They really do invest in their employees. Not only do they offer us a great health plan and 401k, but we also have an opportunity to earn Wellness Credits to offset the healthcare premiums, a state-of-the-art health club with a personal trainer, a medical clinic that gives us $0 cost for basic health needs with our own on-staff doctor and nurse, a diner with made from scratch food at very affordable prices, monthly employee pizza and movie events, hockey, basketball and baseball employee sports nights, Movie Central where we can check out movies and video games at no cost, and an arcade that is free for our families. They have thought of everything!

Cons

Sweetwater is constantly in a state of growth and change. They are always looking for efficiencies and new and better ways to serve the customer. I personally love it, but because of this, you have to be willing and able to adapt to changes before you even know why a change is being made. As an employee, we don’t always have access to the big picture so we have to trust the vision of our leaders. If you don’t do well with change then this place is not for you!

Sweetwater is Magical

Pros

The people are amazing, everyone is so kind. The convenience of all the amenities like the diner, coffee shop, salon which is open to the public, doctor on site for "emergencies", the gym with personal trainer. The live concerts that happen occasionally during the lunch hour. The respect, Chuck himself tells you we are all adults and they trust us. They tell you during orientation how amazing you are, great confidence boost. You are well "book" trained before starting the actual position which you are given the freedom to make your own, within the trained parameters. After moving into my position the gentlemen I work with were very forgiving of my "newness". It is just a super fun environment.

Cons

9-6 would be the only con I can come up with but I love my job so it is totally doable. One thing I have seen in my time here is that Sweetwater is either for you or not, there doesn't seem to be an in between.
