Pros

Company has been around for many years and survived the hard times in 2008 and 2009. Have pretty good benefits at a reasonable price. Start earning pto from day one.

Cons

Very low pay for what is expected of you and a lot below what other companies pay for the same position. Technology is way behind what is standard. Basically have no one that can resolve anything working at their help desk. Told during interview there was big growth and with my experience would advance quickly. Found out later that was completely not true you must be in your position a year to even be considered for something that you were qualified for prior to working there. There seems to be financial issues according to what I read in the news and from emails sent to employees about upcoming changes.

Pros

Right now I have almost 4 months in with my CDL. I didn't get it with Swift, but as far as the 200hr training I had a very good trainer and as of now been driving on my own for about 2 weeks now. It's fairly easy to do the paperwork, but this company still has its basic bs that you go through from time to time. I'm out of the Jonestown, PA terminal and my DM is very nice and patient with me. Only thing with this company is that if you're inexperienced like me you're going to have to be patient with being OTR until about a month/month and a half then you can start getting better routes that you might want.

Cons

Sometimes they can have you running around for loads that were already given to someone else.
