Big Question

Pros

No reason this is ridiculous

Cons

BECARFULL  FOR NEW DRIVERS The school was Ok, the mentor was good, but after the graduation, they promise for inexperience driver at least 1000 per week, but if they complete 5 days of work and gets what, the dispatchers are sure the drivers get stock with no trailer, wrong directions, no answer the phone, anyway they do everything for doesn't give you the 5 days driving and the inexperience drivers get paid no more than 400 a week that means you have to sleep in the truck for 2 o 3 days with no paid, no decent conditions for less than 400. is been 2 weeks and it's been the same situation week after week. That's the way Swiff transportation makes money?

Indifference towards Drivers

Pros

My truck is brand new so at least they give you well maintained newer equipment and there’s always things needing to be delivered.

Cons

Some of the driver managers need to be fired. They show an indifference towards the drivers they are supposed to be liaisons for especially when paychecks are messed up. Flatbed division has ZERO accountability for their office people and when sometime is their fault, they deflect to the drivers and blame the drivers. The driver managers for flatbed need to at least show they care when something is messed up for a driver whether it’s paychecks or something that affects the driver. Also, the smart drive system is garbage. No due process for drivers when the ultra sensitive system records an event that the “non biased 3rd party” deems safety related and then your safety bonus is gone because they charge you with tons of points to your record. Hot garbage…

Not too great

Pros

Nice trucks, weekly pay, diversity in the company, friendly staff, possible ability to move to other positions but not sure since i had only one position so far, security of an industry leader, freedom of being on the road but that is tapered somewhat but alot of oversight that is improperly placed like smartdrive, which points out errors to prevent safety bonus but those errors are incorrect because the camera doesnt read everything and also those types of errors rarely lead to accidents like slowing to 2-5 mph instead of complete stop at a stop sign at 12:30 am non busy intersection, stopping several feet before the stop sign to allow the intersection to clear instead of pulling up to block the whole intersection and create a jam, etc

Cons

Offered alot when hired but never received. No holiday pay, no vacation pay, minimal sick time pay, no layover pay, no detention pay, no breakdown pay. Make sure you get everything in writing. Spend on average two to four hours per week unpaid transporting their equipment to receive repairs, waiting for repairs to be completed, or waiting for someone to arrive to complete repairs. They only paid the mileage to transport but not for wait time. Promise breakdown pay when hired but when my truck broke down instead of breakdown pay they offered me to slip seat into another make and model of truck that was unfamiliar to me and someone else's dirt was in the truck (also they allow pets so beware fleas and ticks). The armrest was broken and the highbeam lights didnt work maybe even more was wrong with it. This adds up and after all the expenses for benefits are taken out of your check, many checks are $350-$550 take home pay per week which is not too great at all considering you risk your life, your CDL, work mainly 60 hour weeks
