Learned a lot but...

Pros

You’ll be thrown in the deep end. If you’re a go-getter and self motivated, there’s a lot to learn and plenty of space to grow. The market will be disrupted by this tech, it’s only a matter of time. Pay was above average and solid benefits.

Cons

Super complicated industry experiencing a lot of competition on the supply yet little demand from the market. Leadership failed to take input from customers and team members to adjust product roadmap accordingly. The company is spread out across the globe (SF, Denver, Sydney, Lviv, Manila). Found it extremely difficult to communicate with key team members when timelines are tight because there’s only a couple hours of overlap between US and AUS headquarters. This made my job very difficult. Leadership made several knee jerk decisions that didn’t seem very well thought throug, to my entire team, including questionable staffing decisions, many changes in strategy and awkward communications with customers.

No HR, minimal benefits

Pros

The chance to develop a wide skillset under pressure. There also used to be some really cool people here perpetuating a special culture, but they've gone now.

Cons

No HR, so employees have no recourse against unprofessional behaviour and bullying is common at every level. This is causing high turnover. "Old, white men" are demonized by management, which clearly goes against diversity and inclusion. I was told my last paycheck wouldn't be processed until I signed another document - see Colorado Wage Act. Current and future employees should expect the same treatment when leaving. Hard work but no 401k matching or bonuses.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience during your time here. We continuously look for ways to enhance employee satisfaction. When it comes to benefits , we have some room to grow. The Termination Certificate that all employees sign is standard practice for a technology company whose employees have access to intellectual property. If you had any questions/concerns about signing the agreement, I would have been happy to discuss. We do have a grievance process outlined in the Employee Handbook. The bullying comment is of course very concerning and will be investigated immediately.
