Best people I've ever worked with

Pros

The people that I work with every day are incredible--smart, thoughtful, dedicated, hilarious and a joy to spend time with. The culture we've built in the Denver office is undoubtedly the best work environment I've ever witnessed. From epic holiday parties to camping trips; office pranks to coffee 1:1s at Union Station, it's just a really special group of people. Even though I'm grateful for the flexibility to work from wherever I need to, I'd pick my office every time, because of our people. Beyond that, I've never had more autonomy, visibility into the inner-workings of a growing global company and ability to impact the business. I'm constantly encouraged to embrace risk, learn quickly and improve--a stark contrast from many corporate jobs where the pressure to be perfect creates a toxic work life. I love how my team is explicitly trusted to research, propose ideas, execute, measure and iterate. It's massively shaping the way I approach business.

Cons

Our geographically dispersed teams creates a unique challenge--we make it work [and truthfully, our staggered schedules can even be helpful at times so that we come in in the mornings with work to review or new assignments to consider that our colleagues worked on over night]. But it's clear to me that our face-to-face time together is invaluable in carrying our communications and cross-department understanding of objectives and progress, the rest of the year when we're spread out.
