Pros
Community - Even though I work remotely, the company ensures that there is a sense of community within the organization...even from the highest levels. On my team we have weekly staff meetings but the company also holds virtual socials (non work meetings) pretty regularly as well. Appreciation - I love that the company often shows appreciation towards staff and there is a general value of kindness in everything they do. From positive and encouraging words to gifts of appreciation, it feels good to be seen for the hard work we do as therapists versus just productivity hours. Fairness - Compensation is fair for the company's expectations and the benefits are quite generous. Even as a part-time employee, I feel like my compensation is quite fair. I also feel like treatment in general is fair across the board. It appears that everyone is welcome and respected for their diverse contributions to the team. Work life balance - The company really advocates for good work life balance by making it as easy as possible to focus on the clinical work and documentation. Things are pretty simple so therapists can focus on the work versus paperwork and billing stuff. There is a whole team dedicated to supporting the administrative work needed to make therapy happen. Personal growth and autonomy - The company does well with supporting my interests as a therapist and respects my clinical decisions and expertise. Additionally, the company encourages professional growth and development by supporting therapists in obtaining CEUS (helping with costs, allowing time off) and pursuing additional licenses in other states. Overall I would recommend Synchronous Health to any therapist that is looking to work remotely and also looking to be part of a good, ethical community of other like-minded professionals focused on mental health. Yes, compensation is important, but the value in this company for me lies in the support given in so many ways.
Cons
I honestly do not have a single con in considering the company structure and operations. So far so good for me and I've been with the company for about a year now.
