Pros

T. Rowe Price marketing is full of smart people. Most have strong past experience and/or MBAs. While you are expected to deliver, you can have a good work/life balance (if you choose to). You are empowered and expected to make decisions. However, when you make mistakes you are not drug through the mud. There is oversight from sr management, but you are given a great deal of ownership. There is little turnover and people remain in their roles longer than at other growth organizations. This enables you to truly become a subject matter expert. Finally, T. Rowe Price is one of, if not the most, ethical company in their industry. It's an organization well respected in the community and within the industry.

Cons

Not a growth organization, limited opportunity for advancement, MBA all but required to be hired into Marketing

Pros

Great benefits package, a good place to get your foot in the door in the financial services industry. The company has been around a long time and have remained true to their core values and conservative nature in the investment industry. Before the economic meltdown, there were many opportunities to move around the firm and I'm sure those doors will open up as things get better. Even with the current economic situation, the company still promotes employee self growth through behavior learning and hard skills training classes.

Cons

Compensation is on the low end and the great benefits package they tout aren't that valuable if your young, healthy and don't have a family. Its absurd that a company of this size doesn't offer free gym membership to the on site fitness center.

Pros

Benefits, hands down. It's also a great place to learn about the finance business and after you've put your grunt work in you can definitely move ahead. It's a young workforce so you definitely get the feeling that you can move ahead.

Cons

It has a very corporate culture, even though it is a bit more laid back than most. There are still a lot of silly rules. I don't feel that they compensate well enough, and because of the that they tend to get less quality associates than other firms in the area.
