Pros

Positive collaboration amongst the various departments is at an all time high. Much of the senior management are experienced people who have grown up in the business versus only having managers that come in from the outside. Everyday is an exciting new challenge to solve for some of the best clients in the world.

Cons

Sometimes we work long hours, but we get to work on some of the best projects in the world and we are starting to see a real effort to create better work life balance for everyone. If you aren’t motivated by new challenges needing to be solved everyday, or innovation, then this place may not be for you.

Pros

Through the course of any project I can find myself working with architects, engineers, computer programmers, designers, fabricators, and a wide range of people with other backgrounds. Every one of my co-workers has a different expertise that I can learn from to make me better at my job. I also enjoy the innovative nature of the work; the things I am pitching and working on are things that have never been done before. Those types of projects are very challenging, but ultimately they are incredibly rewarding.

Cons

The fast paced environment means that I am constantly juggling multiple projects, this means that I can't fully devote myself to a single task.

Awesome opportunities if you're up to the challenge

Pros

Everyone here is brilliant. You're never far from a subject expert who will blow your mind with their expertise, regardless of if you're internally or externally facing. TAIT is cutting edge in almost every way. If you're interested in pushing boundaries or living of the precipice of innovation this is the place for you. This is a place where your opinion can be valued and your ideas can be set into motion if you're brave enough to voice them. No one is going to do that for you, though. It's entirely dependent on your willingness to be a part of the conversation.

Cons

Things move fast here. If you're not ready to drop in at a full sprint you'll find yourself overwhelmed very quickly. If you're looking for a cookie cutter, standard, safe corporate experience then you probably don't want to be at TAIT. This place pushes you to perform at your highest level from the get go, which is pretty intimidating at first, but it also means you experience more growth in the first six months than most people do in their first two years. It also means you have to be ready and willing to come up with answers and solutions yourself instead of relying on a guide book.
