Pros

parking lot and benefit package

Cons

you are a punching bag with no company support if something goes wrong - department managers prioritize $/call over everything else - I was fired because a customer complained about my tone of voice on an outbound collection call - if the complaint goes to human resources you are thrown out the door even though your performance metrics are outstanding (as were mine - two million dollars in 23 months for this company) - in other words, don't trust them.

Pros

Benefits, other employees, and dress code was business casual. TDS was good at laying out everything that you had todo to keep your job.

Cons

If you are looking for upward mobility and not based in Madison you can forget about it. Promotions where handed out only to those that brown nosed their way to it. One person was promoted to sales trainer right out of training although there was someone else that had over 10 years experience and wasnt even given the chance to apply for the postion. When asked i was told their managment experience at a coffeeshop gave them the necassary experience for the postion.

Pros

TDS turns over so many people you are likely to progress quickly early on in your career with the company as long as you keep your performance successful.

Cons

TDS will let you go without regard for your tenure, industry knowledge or accomplishments the moment your performance slips up. Then, once you are no longer with the company they will pursue every penny out of you that they can. I know of someone who got a bill for over a thousand dollars for not returning their dead spouses equipment and I personally got a bill for my tuition reimbursement I was receiving from TDS, not when I was let go but two years later. If you are considering working for TDS I would recommend against it, if you currently work for TDS I recommend starting your job search now, if you are a TDS customer, change providers if you can.
