Pros
Safety strongly emphasized in manufacturing sites. Paychecks, although paid in arrears, don't bounce. 401K has match.
Cons
Big company inertia with small company security. Salaries are mediocre and recruiting is done at 2nd-tier universities since they have nothing to attract top talent. Upper management is classic "old-boy" network with almost all recent top hires being ex-Motorola people. If you're a manufacturing engineer who likes a challenge, this is the place for you. If you're creative and like to think "outside the box", look elsewhere. Oh, the stock plan is a joke and options/stock grants are reserved for upper management only.
