      Pros

      You are surrounded by people that are pretty much just like you so it is easy to become friends with your co-workers. The pay is good.

      Cons

      First of all the hours. You are expected to work from 7:30-5:30 everyday and are encouraged to work more than that, so it is a good thing you can make friends in the office because you will spend much more time with them than anyone else. They make goals unrealistic and don't have programs in place to help you reach those goals and they blame you if you don't hit them. They encourage by fear and telling you how you could do things differently. The only way to advance within the company is to become the cookie cutter version of what management wants.

      Pros

      There are only a handful of bright spots when it comes to working with TEKsystems. The first being that the company offers a good foundation for recruiter training. You will learn how to recruit and hopefully be good at it. The one real benefit of working at TEK is that you can end up going to a bigger and better company if you stick it out and network with the right people. The pay is not bad. Best advice is to get your experience and get out!

      Cons

      There are far too many cons to list. Some of the biggest cons would be working in a negative environment where everyone hates their job, as well as quickly learning that you can't trust most people around you because everyone is only looking out for themselves and will sabotage you to get on top. There is no work culture. You are a cog in a machine. You also learn that the company will not hesitate to get rid of the recruiters who are not performing well. The leadership is subpar and is filled with micromanagers and people who push the idea of "Its my way or the highway". Work hours are horrible (8am to 6pm). You are shamed for leaving early or coming in late. HIGH attrition: In the short time that I was there, 24 recruiters had left the company. If you stay too long, the only companies who will look at you are other agencies. Management will make you feel horrible for leaving and will basically tell you that you will fail outside of tek.

      Pros

      Well organized office. Room for growth within the company. Great job for someone fresh out of college.

      Cons

      Extremely cliquey. Success and promotion seem to be based around who you know and who you are friends with versus performance. Slightly “cult-like” culture. As an employee, I was told it was inappropriate to take my prescribed medication “in the pit” in front of my coworkers during work hours despite taking it discreetly. This company reminds me of mock elections senior year of high school. This company also strongly discourages internal dating and relationships yet half the staff engages in this.
