Good with caveats...

Pros

Great employee benefit package, and they do care about their employees well being to an extent. Due to the size of the organization you can end up touching a lot of different aspects of the business and there are lots of learning opportunities and developmental opportunities available. Flexible work styles is a major selling point.

Cons

Moving up the ladder is very difficult. The company likes to hire externally or through referrals rather than promote from within most of the time. Salary increase is 10% max per promotion without escalation to the VP level. Management does not often take the initiative to discuss your career so you have to keep it front and center on your own.

Pros

Decent pay and insurance after probation period.

Cons

Horrible Human Resources department, when I was hired in 2011, they flat out lied to my whole entire class, they told us it was technical support when it was not, I transferred to another department after almost 2 yrs, then a year later, they sent my position to another country then had the gall to tell me I was not rehirable. I also recommended someone there and they had a horrible experience as well.

Pros

If you are looking solely to generate an income and need to have healthcare and benefits - TELUS is the place for you.

Cons

There is little to point to today that reflects sustainable value creation within the organization. From both a cultural and leadership standpoint, the foundation has weakened — not due to a lack of effort from individuals, but because of structural misalignment and inconsistent strategic direction. Recent leadership additions, many brought in through acquisitions or external hiring, appear to have been placed into an environment without the alignment or support required for success, effectively setting them up to struggle rather than lead meaningful transformation. If the current trajectory continues, TELUS Health risks eroding its brand presence in the US market and diminishing the credibility it once held with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Without a clear recalibration of leadership accountability, cultural cohesion, and market strategy, the organization may face long-term reputational challenges that will be difficult to reverse.
