- Free dinners when you stay late - The beach is within 15 minutes drive from the office - There are a lot of talented people in the studio - Upper management at Agoura Hills headquarters looks competent
Cons
- Shameless exploitation. Studio management is expecting from you to crunch for months with no other compensation than the aforementioned free dinners - Non existing job security. Zero. No matter how much efforts you have spent during the project you can get canned at any moment. Usually after you have crunched for 6 months. - Terrible leadership with horrible attitude towards the "grunts". There are only 2 group of engineers for them: "Rock stars" and "Lackeys" - You have no control when you can use your vacation days. The studio is constantly in "life or death" mode - Complete disconnect between personal performance and compensation. People are being awarded for staying late at work and not for the actual work done or the quality of their code - 100% Authoritarian leadership. Forget about giving any constructive feedback. Your ideas are not welcomed. You should do exactly what you have been told - THQ stock options are worthless
