Pros

It is a job opportunity to gain the experience of the retail industry. This job does offer discount incentives to employees, they give back to its local community (Heart Association, Autism Speaks, Feed the Hungry, Cancer Society and etc.). Benefit package is excellent. This company is #101 on the Fortune 500 list so it is very profitable.

Cons

The turn overrate is very high due to favoritism, micromanaging, and minimum promotion within. If you are looking to get promoted within a reasonable time this would NOT be a great opportunity. It is all about WHO you know and NOT what you know even though you are well-experienced and have trained managers who are managing you. There are currently store managers and assistant managers who just was promoted after 10 to15+ years of experience with this company. This shows that the promotion rate is not great and hopefully the CEO of this company look into better opportunity for their dedicated associates who has put in blood, sweat, and tears into this company.

Pros

The concept of TJMaxx is perfect For the wondering shopper the company provides a diverse collection of clothing, accessories and hard lines that change on a daily basis. For someone looking for a specific item it can be hit or miss. One thing for certain you can always find something at a great price. Value for your merchandise is what drives the sales.

Cons

Unfortunately it can be distressing as an employee due to lack of professionalism by Management. As Managers retire or leave the company for other reasons the Managers being promoted are too young and immature to handle the job. Egos are way to large or the amount of knowledge they carry. There is too much pressure to fill a position without proper interviewing and training. There are more smoke and mirrors Managers then honest, hard working, pleasant genuine Managers.
