Pros

●They live and breathe by their Core Values: S: Set the example for others to follow T: Tenure is reinvented A: Accountability first Y: You before me S: Service & guest satisfaction H: Honest & straightforward A: Autonomy is earned R: Respect one another P: Pacesetters win ● Amazing opportunity to learn IHG, Hilton and Marriott in one position. Not to mention, employee discounts at them all depending upon your home campus! ● Work/life balance like I've never experienced. The flexibility and understanding is bar none and absolutely priceless to me. I will never miss something for my child again! ●I love that I have the opportunity to secure business at any of their 35 hotels. ● Great 401K match compared to others. ● You truly feel like you are part of a family. ●They genuinely care about you, applaud you, encourage you and are always looking to develop you to become whatever your next desired career move is. ● The way they treated their employees during Covid and how they brought them back already in June of 2020 speaks volumes. You before me! ● I love being mobile and not having a desk. I bounce from hotel to hotel to campus to campus and work with a variety of colleagues week to week. Every day and week is different. ● Are you sold yet? I could go on and on. I wish I would have made the move to TPI many years ago!

Cons

While there are so many positives, there are a few cons. ● It can be difficult to swallow the amount of hotels, accounts, clients etc. that you represent. However, over time you will learn to give yourself grace and realize you are only one person who can only do so much. ● It is also difficult learning all the brands and all the ways that they are different. Such as the RFP process, building rates, reservation systems, reward points earning, cancellation policies, pet polices etc. With this, you learn as you go and fail forward. ● It is really weird at first to not have a desk to house all your contracts etc.. It is also really weird to make the lobby or meeting room of a hotel your office for the day. Also, toting around all the things in a backpack. You will get used to this over time. ● As with all Hospitality companies I've been apart of, the benefits are not great. ● They used to be employee owned but Covid killed that. Thankfully they found a buyer to keep the company alive. They added a few small enhancements to the benefit package to make up for losing profit sharing but not nearly enough in my opinion. ● The technology is really out dated. However, I do think they are in the works of getting us new laptops. We also just switched over to Delphi which is going to be great once we all grasp it 100%. Many of us could use phone upgrades as some are operating on iPhone 7's. ● The pay is okay. Some days I feel like I work so much harder for less money than previous jobs held. On the same token, I hold myself to such a high standard and create my own chaos so there is that. But, I will tell you that the flexibility is worth so much money!

Pros

The best thing about TPI was my team for sure. Everyone enjoyed each other's company, and we worked together to get things done.

Cons

We didn't have our clients sign formal agreements that they needed to hit their projected number of room nights in a given timeframe. This allowed for clients to easily not follow through on their side of the agreement.
